Synopsis: Winamp is the grand-daddy of MP3 players. It has strong support for different skins and plug-ins, which you can download from the website. The skins and plug-ins are portable as well.
Writes settings to: Application folder.
How to extract: Download the installer and extract to a folder of your choice. Remove $[48], $0, $COMMONFILES, $R0, $[47] and [NSIS].nsi. Launch winamp.exe.
When run for the first time, you will be presented with a "WinAmp Setup" window. Uncheck all files associations and anonymous usage statistics settings.
Note that the above extraction instructions are only applicable to Winamp Lite. Hank7 has kindly contributed extraction instructions for Winamp Full.

Unicode support: Yes. You need to select a proper Unicode font (such as Arial Unicode MS) for display under Preferences, General Preferences, Playlist, Use font.
