Portable Download

Synopsis: Winamp is the grand-daddy of MP3 players. It has strong support for different skins and plug-ins, which you can download from the website. The skins and plug-ins are portable as well.

Synopsis: allSnap is a small system tray app that makes all top level windows automatically align like they do in programs such as Winamp or Photoshop.

Note: This is a beta portable version that is still not publicly available at the application website.

Synopsis: HotKeyz allows you to define hotkeys for executing other application, It features default hotkeys for minimizing, maximizing, restoring or closing the active window. Launch your default e-mail window to compose a new email. Control your WinAmp 2.x without it being focused. Define memo type text and with a hotkey paste your text into your e-mails, documents etc. You can also paste special characters or the current date and time. Open and close your CD-Rom(s). Power off, shutdown, logoff or reboot your PC with a hotkey press. Start your screen saver, hide or unhide your desktop, taskbar or any desktop with a hotkey.

Synopsis: FastStone Capture is a powerful, flexible and intuitive screen-capture utility. It allows you to capture anything on the screen including windows, objects, full screen, rectangle regions, freehand-selected regions and scrolling windows/web pages. It has innovative features such as a floating Capture Panel, hotkeys, resizing, cropping, text annotation, printing, e-mailing, screen magnifier and many more.

Note: FastStone Capture appeared to have gone payware starting from V5.4. Since the license agreement does not prohibit redistribution, I have made the last freeware version (V5.3) available for direct download.

Synopsis: Yod'm 3D is a virtual desktop manager that uses a 3D rotating cube to visualize the change-over of desktops. It can manage up to four desktops.

Synopsis: Foxit Reader is a small and fast PDF viewer that is compatible with PDF Standard 1.6. It includes Javascript support, interactive form filler, annotation tools and built-in text converter. Foxit Reader Portable is a portable wrapper for Foxit Reader that saves settings to an INI file instead of the Windows registry.

Another portable wrapper for Foxit Reader you might want to consider is Foxit Portable Edition Launcher. Download the self-extracting EXE and extract to a folder of your choice. Then place the Foxit Reader EXE file in App\Foxit Reader. You also need to check Foxit.ini and make sure the line FoxitExecutable=FoxitReader.exe correctly reflects the name of the Foxit Reader EXE file (there may need to be a space between Foxit and Reader.exe). Synopsis: Artweaver is an image editor that tries to simulate natural brush tools eg. chalk, charcoal, pencils. It supports common image formats such as BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, TGA, TIFF, PNG and PSD, in addition to its own format (AWD). Image editing functions includes selection, gradient, crop, fill, transparency, layers, effects (sharpen, blur, emboss, mosaic etc.).

Synopsis: MozillaCookiesView is an alternative to the standard cookie manager provided by Netscape and Mozilla browsers. It displays the details of all cookies stored inside the cookies file (cookies.txt) in one table, and allows you to save the cookies list into text, HTML or XML file, delete unwanted cookies, and backup/restore the cookies file.

XInkscape is a portable wrapper for Inkscape that writes settings to the application folder instead of the Windows registry.
